Hosted Trips
Cypress Hills Trophy Lakes, Cypress Hills, Alberta Canada

Without a doubt, the best trophy lake I have ever fished is Copper Lake in Alberta Canada. On my trip in October of 2005, every rainbow landed was over 10 pound. Yes, over 10 pounds! In Addition, two fish weighed over 18 pounds with most between 11 - 14 pounds. Those are big trout in anyone's book!

The other nearby lake on this ranch is where we started with most rainbows running 5-8 pounds with some over 10. None of these fish seemed that difficult to catch. It is a perfect stillwater lake with lots of channels and bays off the main abody. Most ofthe shoreline edges werer shallow with drop-offs to 8-10 feet.

Both lakes are about 150 acres. I'll be hosting one trip in 2008, September 25, 26, 27, 28, and 29. The fee is $250 per day (minimum 3-days).

These lakes are just 25 miles inside the Canadian border from Montana. If you fly, Great Falls in Montana is the closest town with an airport and car rentalsto drive the last 3 1/2 hours to the little town of Cypress Hills, Alberta.

Call me for more details, but I can tell you this...don't plan on using anything less than 1x tippet, and bring a camera.
