Fly Fishing Trips

Location: Piedmont Reservoir
Date: June 7-8 then Sept. 23, 24, 25
Fees: $250.00 p/p per day

Probably the best stillwater fishery I know of, Piedmont Reservoir is an alkaline high desert lake loaded with big trophy rainbow, brown, brook, tiger and hybrid-cutthroat/rainbow trout. Located on the Guild Ranch, this nutrient rich fish factory is right up there with the best stillwater lakes I've ever fished. Rainbows average 4-6 pounds with many reaching 8-12 pounds, browns from 4-12 pounds, brooks to 6 pounds, tiger from 4-12 pounds and cutthroat/rainbow hybrids reaching 8-10 pounds. That's a lot of big trout. This shallow fishery [average depth 8 feet] produces well on most insect patterns and is especially good when small streamers or seal bugger are used tight to shore. Most anglers will average 10-15 fish per day with the more experienced guys doing 20 plus. Piedmont is one of the better trophy lakes you will fish in a lifetime. I don't thing you will be disappointed. I'll be hosting two trips in 2011, June 9 and 10 with a clinic and again in the fall , October 5 and 6. These are prime times for big trout.

Lodging is in Evanston about 30 minutes west of the reservoir off interstate 80 or in Fort Bridger, 20 minutes east or you can bring your own OR.V. or plan on tenting it on the lake. There is also a cabin at the lake for rent.

The fee is $250 per day per person which includes the private fee and my instruction. Any questions please give me a call and we will go over details.

Note: Float tubes or pontoon boats are recommended.
