Fly Fishing Schools/Clinics
Fly Fishing Fundamentals for Stillwater

Location: Lower Twin Lake, Bridgeport, California
Date: Saturday, May 3
Fees: The fee is $125.00.

This will be a fun-filled day with the technical side of the clinic running from 8:00am to 10:30 am. All aspects of the stillwater puzzle will be covered with heavy emphasis on presentation. That means lines, leader and tippet balance, patterns, lake zones with matching flies and retrieves, reading the water, common angler mistakes and how to correct them and much more.

Alder Creek reservoir is a relatively small body of water which makes it easier to fish. This reservoir is loaded with rainbows, a large number of which run 8-13 pounds. The average skilled angler will do well here and those less skilled will also land thir share as had been the case in past clinics. You can fish from a pontoon boat or float tube or cast from shore. Both methods will work, but boaters have the advantage.

You will enjoy the surroundings and expect to come away with fish stories and a new attitude and respect toward stillwater fly fishing. The Creekside Fly Shop in Salem, Oregon, 503-588-1768 will handle pre-registration of attendees or you can contact Denny at 541-381-2218 for more information regarding the fishing and the class.
